Barbara Tischitz-Winklhofer is a certified secondary school teacher for the subjects music and German as well as a special school teacher. She studied elemental music and dance pedagogy at the Orff Institute and after her studies worked for two years as a music and dance pedagogue at various private schools and kindergartens in Spain. Following that she was working as a lecturer at the PH Graz for 12 years where she taught rhythm, music and movement, movement and dance, rhythm and movement, instrumental internship, music in integrative groups, models and principles for language promotion, early musical education and moto pedagogy. She has been working as a lecturer since 2014 and as a senior lecturer at the Orff Institute in the didactics department since 2019. She is a member of the specialist group MTSI (Music and Dance in Social Work and Integrative Pedagogy), the working group "Inclusion and Diversity" and part of the university course "Music and Dance in Social Work and Integrative Pedagogy". In addition, she works in the further education of teachers and kindergarten pedagogues at home and abroad and works at vaLeo (GmbH for psychomotor development support) in the areas of motogeragogy and intergenerational competence.
