Cornelius Borgolte, born in Bochum, Germany, began his studies at Essen’s Folkwang University of the Arts at the age of 17 years and went on to play the clarinet with the Deutsche Oper am Rhein. Since 1997 Cornelius Borgolte has, as musician and composer, devoted himself primarily to the theatre and has been commissioned by almost all the major playhouses in the German-speaking region. Alongside a regular cooperation with Rafael Sanchez, he has also worked with numerous other directors including Karin Henkel, Amélie Niermeyer, Daniela Löffner, Stephan Rottkamp, Anselm Weber and Lars Ole Walburg.
