At the age of five Lei Meng began to study the piano. From 2004 to 2009 she studied at the middle school at the China Conservatory with Professor Xiaofeng Zhang. From 2008 to 2009 she studied at the Austrian-Chinese University of Music with Professor Kaufmann and his assistant Yao Lu. Since 2009 Lei Meng decided to study abroad with Professor Klaus Kaufmann at the University of Mozarteum and got the scholarship.
Lei Meng is the prize-winner of many piano competitions: First Prize at the ‘"National Youth vocal, instrumental music, dance competition" in China (2001), Gold Prize in Junior A group of the first Chinese Children's Art Festival – National Young Pianists Piano Competition in China (2003), Second Prize at "The Media Highlights" Instrumental Competition in China (2004), Second Prize at the "Yun Wu Hei Bai" Competition in China (2007), First Prize in the senior group of "Hailun Cup" Chinese Pieces Piano Competition and the fifth Prize in the youth group of "Hailun Cup" (2008), First Prize at the Yamaha Young Pianists Piano Competition in China (2009), Second Prize at the Mozartpreis competition in Austria (2009), Fourth Prize at the BANG&OLUFSEN PianoRAMA competition in Denmark (2011). She got the Hübel scholarship and the 2011 Zonta Award at Mozarteum.
She has performed in many cities in China and other countries, including Austria, Germany, USA and Italy. She has also made the "Bach concerts" DVD with professors at the University of Mozarteum.
