Helmut Zhuber (born in Munich) studied acting at the University Mozarteum in Salzburg.


Subsequently he was engaged on famous german theatres like Staatliche Schauspielbühnen Berlin, Nationaltheater Mannheim, Staatstheater Darmstadt und Thalia Theater Hamburg.


He got the award O-E-Hasse sponsored by the Berliner Akademie der Künste.


Dimiter Gotscheff, Johann Kresnik, Wolf-Dietrich Sprenger and Bob Wilson were formative acting-directors for Helmut Zhuber.


Furthermore he works together with Harald Clemen, Thomas Krupa und Gerhard Willert (i.a.).


The cooperation with very young acting-directors like Dominique Schnizer and Matthias Reichwald is another important challenge for Helmut Zhuber.


Beside he is involved on musical theatre projekts for example together with Erik Gedeon, or Alex Geringas/Peter Jordan.


A lot of theatre projects and scenic readings preformed Helmut Zhuber by himselfe. Two monologue-preformances, wich he has created with Stephanie Kunz was showing ca. 100 times.


Helmut Zhuber also works as a freelnace artist for radio and television.


At last he played a part in DAS FEUERSCHIFF, a filmadaptation of literature (together with Axel Milberg), in RESTRISIKO, an anti-nuclear-thriller about (together with Ulrike Folkerts) and in MORD MIT AUSSICHT, a television series.


As University Professor in acting he teaches at the Universität der Künste in Berlin and at the Schule für Schauspiel in Hamburg.


Since summer semester 2009 he is University Professor in acting at the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg in Austria.


Again and again Helmut Zhuber comes back on stage and performs as guest at different german theatres.
