Doris Valtiner-Pühringer graduated her "Elemental Music and Dance Pedagogy" studies with honors at the Orff Institute of the Mozarteum University Salzburg. She also studied choreography at the Dartington College of Arts in England.
She was working as a children's dance teacher at SEAD (Salzburg Academy of Dance) and gave several dance theater workshops at Toihaus in Salzburg. She was teaching at the Musikum Salzburg in the field of elemental music pedagogy.
Since 2008 she has been teaching at the Orff Institute in the areas of dance and didactics. In addition, she is giving regular courses at home and abroad. From 2009 to 2011 she was working as an assistant to Shirley Day-Salmon. From 2007 to 2012, she was a member of the performance group The Collectif at the Orff Institute and performed numerous performances with pieces for dance and body percussion. Since 2013, she has moderated and designed the “Mittendrin Concerts” of the International Mozarteum Foundation Salzburg in cooperation with the Orff Institute.
