Georg Steinschaden is Professor of Piano at the University “Mozarteum” Salzburg and was the founder and director of the “Pre-College Salzburg” for highly gifted young musicians at the Mozarteum, which he directed for several years.  He is president and artistic director of the Austrian Master Classes, was a member of the “Logos Trio Salzburg” and also leads a piano class at the Musikum Salzburg. He has countless successes of his students in national and international competitions and is a juror in international and national competitions. For more than seven years he was chairman of the “Prima la Musica” advisory board in Salzburg and member of the “Prima la Musica” advisory board. Numerous concerts with the “Steinschaden Trio Salzburg” have taken him to many countries inside and outside Europe (Italy, France, Switzerland, Denmark, Russia, Bulgaria, Germany, Japan, the USA, among others to the Carnegie Hall in New York, Mexico and many more). He has recorded several CDs and numerous radio and television recordings on ORF, ARD and Japanese Television and has performed with ensembles such as the Eichendorff Quintet Vienna (members of the Vienna Philharmonic) and the Amati Quartet Verona as well as the mezzo-soprano Angelika Kirchschlager. Georg Steinschaden has also been active in cultural management since 1994. He studied at the University Mozarteum Salzburg with P.Lang, N.Shetler and A.Kontarsky.
