Klaus Kircher,

Klaus Kircher was born in Salzburg in 1965 and studied double bass with Martin Bürgschwendtner at the Mozarteum University Salzburg. He participated in workshops with Hans Rettenbacher, Albert Kreuzer, Miroslav Vitous, Wolfgang Muthspiel, Peter Herbert and Skuli Sverison.

He has been working as a freelance musician (bass and guitar) since 1985 and also holds various workshops and band coachings. In addition to his work in countless projects and bands, he also worked at the Landestheater Salzburg and the Schauspielhaus Salzburg in various productions (including Linie1Sie spielen unser LiedDas Hausgeisterhaus and Meine Stille Nacht).  

Among others he worked with Willi Resertarits, Joe Sample, Dominic Miller, Allan Praskin, Peter O'Mara, Hans Rettenbacher, Rudi Wilfer, Karl Ritter, Tony Scott, Bill Ramsey, The Platters, Hazy Osterwald, Wolfgang Puschnig, Hansi Lang, Wolfgang Ambros, Schiffkowitz, Perter Kraus, Boris Bukowski, Ranajit Sengupta, Angelika Kirchschlager, Wolfgang Muthspiel, Harry Ahamer, Thoma Stipsitz and Josef Hader.

He has been teaching jazz and pop at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg since 2003.
