The in Crans-Montana (Switzerland) born musician studied trombone in the class of Branimir Slokar at the conservatory in Bern. Dany Bovin is prize winner of different international competitions (Vercelli, Toulon) and won 1986 the Soloists-Competition of Switzerland (AM S–Basel).


1982 Dany Bovin became solo-trombone player at the Münchner Philharmoniker at the age of just 17 years. He has performed as a soloist with leading orchestras, inter alia with the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the Lausanner Kammerorchester and the Berner Symphonie-Orchester.


Dany Bovin is founding member of the Münchner Posaunenquartett (Munich trombone quartet) and member of Bob Ross’ „Blechschaden“-Ensemble.


He is professor for trombone at the University Mozarteum Salzburg.
