Reinhold Wirsching

Reinhold Wirsching studied trombone at the University of Music in Würzburg and completed his studies in "Elementary Music and Movement Education" at the Orff Institute of the Mozarteum University, majoring in recorder as well as composition and music theory. Since 1984 he has been teaching at the Orff Institute among other things, music as a personal medium of expression, elementary composition, interdisciplinary design projects, introduction to the Orff Schulwerk, ensemble playing and conducting, conducting, ear training and practical didactics.
In addition to this activity, he is a professor at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz and has teaching commitments at the Carl Orff Elementary School in Traunwalchen in cooperation with the Academy for Teacher Training and Personnel Management in Dillingen. He has been invited to numerous courses, seminars and lectures in Australia, Germany, England, Estonia, Greece, Italy, Austria, Poland, Russia, Switzerland, Spain, Taiwan, the Czech Republic and the USA. He is a member of the board of the Orff-Schulwerk Society Germany and the Orff-Schulwerk Forum Salzburg. He is artistic director of a cappella bavarese and publishes books and CDs for music lessons.
