Carina Alterdinger was born in Salzburg and studied architecture at the Vienna University of Technology. After graduating as a  engineer, she returned to Salzburg and worked in various architecture firms with a wide range of activities. She also was a board member of the Architecture Initiative. Since 2012 she has been working as a research and artistic assistant in the department for stage design at the University of Mozarteum Salzburg with the teaching assignment for CAD 01 and 02.
