Bozena Angelova was born in Maribor, Slovenia. She studied at the music academies in Klagenfurt, Bern, Basel and at the Mozarteum University Salzburg with Helfried Fister, Igor Ozim, Rainer Schmidt and Reinhard Goebel. She has won numerous national and international competitions. As a soloist, she made her debut with Johannes Brahms' Violin Concerto with the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra in Ljubljana. This was followed by concerts with the Carinthian Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonic Orchestra in Maribor, with the New Chamber Orchestra and the Ars academica Orchestra in Spain and Germany as well as archive recordings for Slovenian radio and the ORF. Her special love is chamber music in a wide variety of formations. Her repertoire ranges from baroque to classic and romantic to modern. She has been working as an assistant to Harald Herzl at the Mozarteum University Salzburg since 2011.
