Biliana Tzinlikova was born in Sofia in 1974 and studied at the State Music Academy in Sofia with Marina capacinskaya and at the Mozarteum University Salzburg with Andor Losonczy and Christoph Lieske. She took part in master classes with Elisso Virsaladse, Arndzej Jaszinsky, Pavel Gililov, Menahem Pressler, Paul Badura-Skoda, Alexander Lonquich, Klaus-Christian Schuster and Claude Frank. The main focus of her artistic work as a concert pianist is rediscovering and re-performance of forgotten piano music. Since 2017, she has been working with actresses and actors to develop cross-genre concert programs that focus on the female composers troughout history. She performs regularly with international artists at home and abroad, including with Christian Gerhaher, Thomas Selditz, Klara Flieder, Thomas Riebl, Ulf Schneider, Stephan Picard, Patrick Demenga, Gustav Rivinius, Dany Bonvin, Esther Hoppe and members of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. As a soloist she has performed at the Salzburg Mozart Week and under Stefan Sanderling with the RSO Vienna. She has given concerts in almost all European countries and in the USA. In 2004 she made her debut at the Vienna Konzerthaus. She has been teaching at the Mozarteum University Salzburg since 2001 and her habilitation in piano chamber music followed in 2019.
