Association of Friends of the Salzburg Mozarteum University

The association brings together friends, sponsors and patrons who support the activities of the Mozarteum University in a non-material way and also financially. For instance, the members of the association make it possible to maintain the student hall of residence at Schloss Frohnburg, to offer advice to graduates of the Mozarteum University, to award scholarships, and also to organise various concerts and workshops.

The Association of Friends was founded in 1957 by Bernhard Paumgartner who at the time was president of the Mozarteum.  In June 2007 Dr. Bernd Lange was elected as president of the association.  Since April 2003 Dr. Benita Ferrero-Waldner has been honorary president of the association.
