16th Biennial International Conference on Baroque Music
9–13 July 2014

Participants' Information

The 16th Biennial International Conference on Baroque Music takes place in the main building of University Mozarteum, Mirabellplatz 1, A-5020 Salzburg.

WIFI will be provided in the University’s main building during the Conference.

IT and Sound Equipment

Every lecture room is equipped with a PC (with Internet access), PowerPoint and overhead projectors, sound system and a keyboard instrument.

Sound can be played from PC (e.g. PowerPoint), CD, DVD or mp3 device.

The PCs currently use WindowsXP operating system and Microsoft Office 2010.

Two notes to Mac users:
  1. If you want to make use of a Mac Laptop, please bring the appropriate adapter with you.
  2. If you are going to set your presentation with the help of Mac programmes stored on a portable storage device (USB stick, DVD, CD-ROM, etc.), you may wish to send it to us in advance of the conference to ensure that there are no compatibility issues.

Internet, Printing & Photocopying in the Main Building

Internet at the conference venue will be available in the computer room which is located on the first floor of the main building of University Mozarteum. You will be provided with a temporary account. Please apply at the registration desk.

We will be able to offer printing and photocopying facilities at the conference venue, via prepaid copy-/printing cards. The cards can be used for copying and printing on all machines in the main building, e.g. in the computer room which is located on the first floor of the main building of University Mozarteum. Cards can be purchased at the registration desk (€ 5,00). They cannot be topped up with credit. Please note that the cards are only valid for the days of the conference and all credit must be used or will expire.

If you intend to distribute handouts, we would kindly ask you to come prepared. We are expecting around 150 delegates and therefore the provision of copies by the conference team will certainly cause displeasing delays. Although it is very difficult to foresee the number of participants in parallel sessions, we recommend that you prepare at least 50 copies of a handout.

Access to the University Library

The library of University Mozarteum will be open on 10 and 11 July 2014 from 9.00am to 4.00pm and help to facilitate short-time loan non-bureaucratically.
