Stage Design

Interdisciplinary training in the fields of literature, theatre, music, the history of art and civilisation, architecture, film and photography form the basis of the artistic and technical analysis of the scene, the body and the object in the space. Students learn how to represent the concept they elaborate in painting, graphic and model form. The newest technical media are applied: CAD, photography and video (drawings of functional plans and lighting concepts; drawings for the ateliers, costumes, tailoring plans, accessories and props as well as cost calculation for materials). Students acquire practical experience in interdisciplinary projects as well as in cooperation with the Salzburg Landestheater, the Salzburg Festival and the museums in Salzburg.
